MONTSERRAT Montserrat FuentesFUENTES has been named executive vice president and provost at the University of Iowa. She currently serves as dean and professor of statistics at Virginia Commonwealth University. Fuentes received a dual bachelor’s degree from the University of Valladolid in Spain and a Ph.D. in statistics from the University of Chicago.
