Rutgers—New Brunswick Names New Vice Chancellor for Diversity, Inclusion and Community Engagement

This August, Dr. Enobong “Anna” Branch will become the vice chancellor for diversity, inclusion and community engagement at Rutgers University—New Brunswick.

Branch comes to Rutgers—New Brunswick from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she serves as associate chancellor for equity and inclusion, chief diversity officer and associate professor of sociology.

At Rutgers, she will also serve as a professor in the Department of Sociology.

“Dr. Branch will have responsibility for enhancing diversity and inclusion in recruitment, retention, curriculum, research and community engagement across Rutgers University—New Brunswick,” university chancellor Dr. Christopher J. Molloy said in a campus-wide email.

In addition to implementing diversity initiatives, Branch will work to expand and strengthen Rutgers’ partnerships with the neighboring community. She will report directly to Chancellor Molloy.
