SHERINE O. OBARE has been named dean of the Joint School of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering, an academic collaboration between the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and North Carolina A&T State University. She previously served as associate vice president for research at Western Michigan University. She holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from West Virginia State University and a doctorate in chemistry from the University of South Carolina.
