Salisbury U Campus Police Working With FBI to Investigate Multiple Racist Threats

Officials at Maryland’s Salisbury University said college police are working with the FBI and other law enforcement agencies to investigate multiple racist threats found on campus Wednesday afternoon, reported WUSA9.

Following the threats, the college closed on Thursday, “to provide a day of healing.” However, the Counseling Center, Office of Diversity and Inclusion and Multicultural Student Services Office are to remain open to provide necessary support services to students.400 Salisbury 1

“Not one, but multiple racist threats are being directed at Black and Brown members of OUR community,” wrote Salisbury University President Charles Wright in a letter. “An attack on some members of our campus community is an attack on all of us, and we all need to respond.”

This is not the first time Salisbury has dealt with racist threats on campus, said WUSA9. Last fall, racist and sexually explicit vandalism was found multiple times on the walls of a stairwell in the campus’ Fulton Hall.
