SONJA S. WATSON has been named dean of the College of Liberal Arts at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. Currently associate dean of academic affairs for the College of Liberal Arts and an associate professor of Spanish at the University of Texas at Arlington, Watson holds a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from William & Mary as well as a Ph.D. in Hispanic literature from the University of Tennessee.
