Jill TiefenthalerJILL TIEFENTHALER has been appointed the first woman to serve as chief executive officer of the National Geographic Society in its 132-year history. Currently president of Colorado College, Tiefenthaler holds a bachelor’s degree from St. Mary’s College in South Bend, Indiana as well as a master’s degree and Ph.D. in economics from Duke University.
