GMAC Delays Fall Sport Competition to September 24

The Great Midwest Athletic Conference has decided to delay fall athletic competition to Sept. 24.Gmac

The conference has decided on Aug. 28 as the first permissible practice date for the championship segment in football, men’s and women’s soccer, volleyball and cross country.

“The Great Midwest has made the determination that a delay of the fall championship segment is the appropriate direction for those sports at this time,” said conference commissioner Tom Daeger in a statement. “We believe this to be the best path forward for our membership to ensure we are serving the student-athletes and providing the most beneficial and meaningful experience for them as they return to campus this fall.”
