Dr. M. Brian Blake Selected as Finalist for Georgia State University Presidency

Dr. M. Brian Blake has been selected as the finalist for president of Georgia State University, a role which would make him the first Black person to hold it, The Atlanta Journal Constitution reported.

Blake is currently provost and executive vice president for academic affairs at George Washington University. Previously, he served in administrative roles at Drexel University, the University of Miami, the University of Notre Dame and Georgetown University.

Blake holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Georgia Tech, a master’s degree in the same subject from Mercer University and a doctoral degree in software engineering from George Mason University.
