The Deloitte Foundation announced plans to establish a scholarship fund for select students in The Ohio State University’s Max M. Fisher College of Business.

Over the course of three years, $150,000 will be distributed to students involved in the Master of Accounting (MAcc) program or Project THRIVE—which aims to increase access within the fields of accounting and management information systems. An additional $30,000 in funding is also set to be donated to support Project THRIVE programming.

“It is fundamental to harness the power of these students in order to help build more inclusive talent pipelines and advance both business and society,” said Dr. Cynthia Turner, assistant dean for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and chief diversity officer at Fisher. “As the first Black woman to earn a Ph.D in accounting from The Ohio State University, I have seen first-hand how a holistic education can empower and motivate students to be successful in the accounting field.”
