Bennett College Selects Fuse-Hall as President

Bennett College has named Rosalind Fuse-Hall as its 17th president, officially succeeding interim President Esther Terry on July 1.

According to Bennett College’s announcement, Fuse-Hall has nearly 25 years of experience in higher education. She is currently the interim executive director of Title III Programs at Florida A&M University. She also has worked at North Carolina Central University as the executive assistant to the chancellor and has been executive secretary to the University of North Carolina Board of Governors.

“The campus community is elated with the selection of President-elect Fuse-Hall,” said Charles Barrentine, Bennett College Board of Trustee chairman. “She brings a wealth of management, fundraising, and governance experience to the position. The Board has every confidence that she will take the college to the next level of excellence. We all stand ready to eagerly assist her presidency.”

Fuse-Hall is a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill and Rutgers School of Law. She began her professional career as a judicial law clerk and later worked as staff attorney in the Enforcement Division of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in the New York Regional Office.

Terry has served as president at the all-female HBCU in Greensboro, N.C., since the departure of Dr. Julianne Malveaux last year.
