Susie Powell A Bennett College alumna, Powell is a former Bennett board member. She wrote the screenplay for The Loving Story documentary, winning the award for Outstanding Historical Programming (Long Form) at the 34th Emmy Awards. Powell was one of two Black women to graduate from her law school class at Case Western Reserve. She has published many short stories and articles.
