Elliot Strickland

Founded in 1914 as the Williamsport Technical Institute, the Pennsylvania College of Technology (Penn College) is a special mission affiliate of the Pennsylvania State University. Since its founding in 1914, Penn College has undergone a number of transformations; the most recent of which occurred in 1989 when it became an affiliate of Penn State. Through all iterations, Penn College has maintained its commitment to workforce development and applied education technology.

Student affairs at Penn College is led by Elliott Strickland, who serves as the chief student affairs officer. Occupying various roles since he arrived in 1995, Strickland leads 53 full-time and 87 part-time student aff airs professionals across a host of functional areas, including career services, disability services, Greek life, intramural sports, and the student union, to name a few.

Guided by Penn College’s four institutional values of handson education, a student-centered environment, business
and industry partnerships, and a community of respect, the Department of Student Affairs seeks to provide holistic experience for its students, encouraging them to become productive and responsible citizens.
