U. of Richmond Suspends Fraternity for Policy Violations

RICHMOND, Va. — Sigma Alpha Epsilon’s chapter at the University of Richmond has been indefinitely suspended for violating the school’s policies.

The private university tells media outlets that the fraternity also violated the school’s risk management procedures. The suspension was effective Saturday.

The university says there were repeated violations but it didn’t provide details. The suspension followed a review by the university.

A spokesman for the national Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment on Sunday.
