Tuition to rise nearly 19 percent at Lincoln University

JEFFERSON CITY Mo.

Tuition is rising nearly 19 percent for students at Lincoln University.

The university said Monday that its Board of Curators had approved the tuition and fee increases last week to take effect for the fall semester.

An undergraduate Missouri resident will pay $183.50 per credit hour, instead of the current $154.43, the university said. For non-Missouri residents, tuition will increase to $335.50 per credit hour from the current $282.05.

Tuition will rise for graduate students by a similar percentage.

The state’s historically black university in Jefferson City has about 3,200 students, according to the state Department of Higher Education.
