MAKOLA AMAKOLA-ABDULLAHBDULLAH has been named president of Virginia State University, effective February 1. He was provost and senior vice president at Bethune-Cookman University. Abdullah earned a bachelor’s from Howard University, and a master’s and a doctorate from Northwestern University.
