FAMU QB Love suspended for 3 games

TALLAHASSEE Fla.
Florida A&M football coach Rubin Carter has suspended
redshirt freshman quarterback Robert Love for the first three games of the
season for violation of team standards.

Love, a 5-11, 190-pound quarterback from Pahokee High
School, also will miss preseason training camp. Love was slated to be the
backup to senior Albert Chester II.

“We regret that we had to take this action, but
we have code of conduct that must be adhered to. His actions both on the field
and off represent himself, the university, the team and the athletic
department,” Carter said.

Practice begins August 7 and the season opener is Sept. 1 at Southern U.
