STAUNTON, Va. — Men will get to live on campus at Mary Baldwin University for the first time beginning next year.
Local news media outlets report that the school in Staunton is creating a new unit called University College that will include three residential programs for women and men. The three-year degree programs will be offered next fall to men and women who have finished their junior or senior years of high school.
Mary Baldwin already has several co-ed programs, but men have never lived on campus.
The co-educational programs will provide students with bachelor’s degrees in health sciences, education and Shakespeare and performing arts.
Mary Baldwin officials say they expect there to be one co-ed residential hall with men and women living on separate floors.
