ACE, Carnegie Corp. Select 8 Schools With Outstanding International Programs

The American Council on Education and Carnegie Corp. of New York have selected eight colleges and universities known for outstanding achievements in internationalizing their undergraduate programs to participate in a project to highlight promising practices in international education.
The Promising Practices:
Institutional Models of Comprehensive Internationalization project encourages colleges and universities to internationalize their campuses and link international activities to their core mission.
“At a time when we are concerned about the relatively low levels of internationalization of
undergraduate education, we were delighted to find a number of institutions doing outstanding work in a broad range of international
activities,” says ACE President Dr. Stanley O. Ikenberry in announcing the selection. “These eight are models for other institutions to improve the quality of international education on campus.”
The eight institutions selected from a pool of 57 applicants include: Appalachian State University, N.C.; Beaver College, Pa.; Dickinson College, Pa.; Indiana University; Kapi’ olani Community College, Hawaii; Missouri Southern State; The State University of New York, Binghamton; and Tidewater Community College, Va.
