Diane Schanzenbach DIANE W. SCHANZENBACH has been named director of the Institute for Policy Research (IPR) at Northwestern University. She is professor of human development and social policy at Northwestern, and was previously an IPR fellow and the director of the Hamilton Project. Schanzenbach earned a bachelor’s degree from Wellesley College and a Ph.D. from Princeton University.
