Revving Up an HBCU Motorsports Program

NASCAR driver Ryan Robertson and his team recently unveiled two new racecars, which feature Winston-Salem State University Motorsport Management sponsorships, during a ceremony with students, faculty and staff on WSSU’s North Carolina campus.

WSSU Motorsport Management logos now adorn the rear quarter panel of both of Robertson’s cars, in which he competes in races throughout the Southeast. The Motorsport Management program at WSSU is the first baccalaureate program of its kind in the nation; the school started offering courses in 2007.

“Through our support of Robertson Racing we will also raise awareness of our Motorsport Management program,” says Dr. Travis Teague, coordinator of the program.
