Professional Appintments

Jimmy Arrington has been appointed assistant vice president of enrollment management at Delaware State University. Previously Arrington was director of admissions at Kentucky State University. He earned a bachelor's degree in political science and a master's in education, focusing on student personnel services, guidance and counseling, from Tuskegee University.

Herman R. Frazier has been named the athletic director at the University of
Alabama at Birmingham. A former Olympic gold medalist, Frazier was senior associate athletic director at Arizona State
University in Tempe. Frazier earned a
bachelor's degree from ASU.

Faye Hardy-Lucas has been named vice president and general counsel in the office of governmental relations at Hampton
University in Virginia. Previously general counsel, Hardy-Lucas earned a bachelor's degree in business management from Hampton and a juris doctorate degree from the Howard University School of Law.

Dr. Saleef Kafajouffe has been promoted
to associate dean of international and multi- cultural education at Olivet College in
Michigan. Most recently he was the chair of the social sciences department. Kafajouffe earned a bachelor's degree in art education, a master's in park and recreation administration and a doctorate in park and recreation and international tourism, all from Michigan State University.

Herman K. Taitt Jr. has been named
director of facility operations and maintenance at the University of New Orleans. Taitt previously was project site manager for Coast Industries, contractors for Lockheed-Martin Manned Space Systems. Taitt earned a bachelor's degree from Southern University at New Orleans.


Dr. Evon Washington Walters has been appointed vice president for student services at Onondaga Community College in New York. Previously, he was the chair of the education department and director of the Office of International Education at Olivet College in Michigan. Walters earned a bachelor's, a master's and a doctorate from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
