Professional Appoitments

DR. M. CHRISTOPHER BROWN II has been appointed executive vice president and provost at Fisk University. He previously served as dean at the University of Nevada’s College of Education. Brown earned a bachelor’s from South Carolina State University, a master’s from the University of Kentucky and a doctorate from The Pennsylvania State University.

LEANDRA HAYES-THOMAS has been named assistant vice president for major and planned gifts at Claflin University (S.C.). She previously served as assistant vice president of institutional advancement and director of development at Talladega College. Hayes-Thomas earned a bachelor’s from Johnson C. Smith University.

DR. ANDREW HUGINE JR. has been named president of Alabama A&M University. He most recently served as president of South Carolina State University. Hugine received a bachelor’s and master’s from South Carolina State University and a doctorate from Michigan State University.

ELIZABETH LEENHOUTS has been appointed director of alumni relations for the University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business. Most recently, Leenhouts served as the executive director of KidsTek, a K-12 nonprofit. Leenhouts holds a bachelor’s from the College of William and Mary, a master’s from the University of Tennessee and an MBA from the University of Denver.
