Calvin College endures rocky economic path to achieve fund drive goal

Calvin College started laying the groundwork for a $150 million fundraising campaign in 2001, placing the effort on hold after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks sent markets spiraling.  According to the Grand Rapid Press, now, with the financial world possibly starting to rebound after a recession, the college is wrapping up the campaign — exceeding its goal by $5 million.
