Professional Appointments

Dr. Earle V. Bryant, associate professor of English at the University of New Orleans, has been honored as a Seraphia D. Leyda University Teaching Fellow. The fellowship supports teaching and scholarly activities. Bryant earned a bachelor's in English from Xavier University in New Orleans and a master's and doctorate both in American Literature from Harvard University.

Theresa Green Ervin has been named career-planning specialist at the University of Mississippi Career Center in Oxford. Ervin will coordinate the Career Peer Educator program. Ervin earned a bachelor's degree in technology from Jacksonville State University and a bachelor's in business and commerce administration along with a master's from the University of Alabama.

Sandra T. King has been appointed vice president of university relations at Northeastern University in Boston. King had been director of the division for the past 11 months. King earned a bachelor's degree in economics and
management from Elmira College and a
master's in business administration from
Northeastern.
Dr. Quincy L. Moore has been appointed dean of undergraduate studies and student support at West Chester University in Pennsylvania. Moore most recently was executive director of the academic success center at Virginia Commonwealth University. Moore earned a bachelor's degree from Culver-Stockton College in Missouri, a master's from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas and a doctorate from the University of Iowa.
 
Dr. Patricia N. Nichols has been named president of the Forest Park campus of St. Louis Community College. Nichols was vice president for academic and student affairs at Harris-Stowe State College. Nichols earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Harris Teacher's College, a master's in counseling and a doctorate in education with emphasis in counseling/urban education both from Saint Louis University.

Beverly Henry Wheeler, an associate director of admissions at Southwestern University in Texas, has been elected the 21st president of the Texas Association for College Admissions Counseling. Wheeler earned a bachelor's degree in social work from the University of Texas at Austin and a master's from Southwest Texas State
University.
