Tabb J. Bishop has been appointed deputy chief of staff in the executive office of the president at Temple University. Previously, Bishop worked for a Philadelphia-based lobbying firm and was the director of the Philadelphia Delegation in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. Bishop earned a bachelor’s degree from Hampton University.

Charles Davis has been appointed the new director of athletics at North Carolina A&T State University. Davis comes to N.C. A&T from Bowie State University in Maryland, where he had served as the athletics director since August 2000. Davis received a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree, both from Wake Forest University.
Dr. Lisa P. Delpit has been named executive director and eminent scholar in the Center for Urban Education and Innovation in the College of Education at Florida International University. Prior to this appointment, Delpit held the Benjamin E. Mays chair of urban educational leadership at Georgia State. Delpit earned a bachelor’s from Antioch College, and a master’s and doctorate from Harvard University.
Dr. M. Anthony Fitchue has been named assistant dean in the school of education and urban studies at Morgan State University in Baltimore. Fitchue earned a bachelor’s from Hampton University, two master’s from Columbia University and a third master’s from Harvard University. He also earned a doctorate from Columbia University.
Cynthia N. Fulford has been named associate director of multicultural affairs at Syracuse University in New York. Previously, Fulford was the assistant director for the Center for Career Services at Syracuse. Fulford received a bachelor’s degree from Washington and Jefferson College and a master’s from Syracuse.
Dr. Avon H. Garrett has been appointed dean for business, social science, and wellness and education for the Community College of Baltimore County, Catonsville. Most recently, he was an associate professor of business. Garrett earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland, a master’s from Johns Hopkins University and a doctorate from the Union Institute in Cincinnati.
