White House Calls for Teaching Award Nominations

The White House Initiative on Historically Black Colleges and Universities is looking for nominations for its Millennium Awards in Teaching and Research Excellence. Through June 1, the office is accepting nominations of those who have excelled at teaching or research in math, science, engineering or technology. Winners will be selected by late August and honored in September during National Historically Black Colleges and Universities Week in Washington.

This program is an initiative of the Science and Technology Cluster of Federal Agencies made up of the following: the U.S. Department of Agriculture, U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. Department of Energy, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, U.S. Department of the Interior, U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the National Science Foundation, the National Institutes of Health of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
