College Sports Television to Produce Broadband ShowsNEW YORK
CSTV, or College Sports Television (www.cstv.com), the first 24-hour college sports network, will produce College Sports Buzz@AOL, two original, specially produced weekly shows airing on AOL for Broadband. The shows focus on the stories, games and events in the world of college sports. The first show premiered May 1.
College Sports Television's first College Sports Buzz@AOL program each week will be a 3-4 minute "CSTV Weekend Preview" show airing on AOL for Broadband on Thursday nights to preview the weekend's college sports action and personalities spanning all sports, all conferences and all divisions. The second show will be a 5-7 minute "CSTV Weekend Wrap-Up" show airing Monday mornings to recap the weekend's best stories, greatest plays and individual and team performances.
"Our AOL for Broadband programming will enable a nationwide audience of broadband users to experience the comprehensive approach CSTV will take to cover the most sports, the most games and the most student-athletes," says Chris Bevilacqua, co-founder and executive vice president, College Sports Television.
"We are pleased to be partnering with CSTV as we further develop valuable sports programming for AOL for Broadband," says Tom Richardson, vice president and general manager, AOL Sports.
AOL for Broadband is one of several sources for entertainment and information delivered on high-speed Internet service, with programming and features that are exclusive only to AOL for Broadband members. Available nationwide, consumers can simply add the AOL for Broadband service to any high-speed DSL or cable Internet connection if they have existing access through their local phone, cable TV or Internet provider.
