Suber to Head St. Augustine's

Dr. Dianne Boardley Suber is the first woman to be named president of St. Augustine's College in North Carolina. Suber has been a professor, assistant provost and, most recently, vice president for administrative services at Hampton University in Virginia. She earned a bachelor's degree in early childhood education from Hampton University, a master's degree in curriculum development from the University of Illinois and a doctorate in educational administration from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.


Academic

Dr. Rosemary Gray Bundy has joined the University of Scranton as its equity and diversity officer. Bundy has 25 years of higher education experience which she acquired at East Tennessee State University and, most recently, as associate dean of students at Emory and Henry College. Bundy holds a bachelor's degree in English from Emory and Henry College, a master's degree in education from Catholic University of America and a doctorate in educational leadership and policy analysis from East Tennessee State University.

Dr. Roy DeBerry has been appointed executive vice president at Jackson State University. Previously, he was county executive for Hinds County Board of Supervisors. He earned a bachelor's degree in sociology and a master's and doctorate degrees in political science from Brandeis University.

Dr. Karla Holloway is the new dean of humanities and social sciences at Duke University. Previously, she was a professor of English at North Carolina State University.  Holloway earned a bachelor's degree in English from Talledega College, and both a master's degree in English and a doctorate in English and linguistics from Michigan State University.

Angelique Lewis has been appointed director of instructional technology/training coordinator at Bethune-Cookman College. Lewis previously taught language arts for the Volusia County school system. She earned a bachelor's degree in English education from Bethune-Cookman College and a master's degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of South Florida.
