Dr. Marie Foster Gnage has been appointed president of West Virginia University at Parkersburg. In her previous position, she was senior vice president for academic affairs at New Jersey's Raritan Valley Community College. She earned a bachelor's from Alcorn A&M College, a master's from the University of Southwestern Louisiana and a doctorate from Florida State University.

Dr. Lee Jones is the new dean of graduate studies, continuing education and summer session at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Formerly associate dean for academic affairs and instruction at Florida State University's College of Education, Jones earned a bachelor's from Delaware State University, two master's from Ohio State University and a doctorate from Florida State University.

Dr. William Lawson has been named executive vice president for Tennessee State University. Prior to his new post, Lawson served as TSU's dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. Lawson earned a bachelor's from Knoxville College, a master's from Atlanta University, and a doctorate from Iowa State University.

Dr. Eric E. Lee has been named assistant to the president/director of diversity services at Suffolk University in Boston. Most recently he was director of multicultural affairs and TRIO programs at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He earned a bachelor's and a master's from Wayne State College and a doctorate from the University of Nebraska.

Franklin E. Patterson has been named director of information systems at Southern University in Louisiana. Most recently, he was director of information technology at Mount Union College in Alliance, Ohio. Patterson earned a bachelor's from Johnson C. Smith University in North Carolina and an MBA from McColl School of Business at Queens College.

Sonali B. Wilson has been named chief legal counsel at Cleveland State University. Previously she was assistant legal counsel. Wilson earned a bachelor's from Boston University, a master's from Harvard University and a law degree from Georgetown University Law Center.
