McGraw-Hill Upgrades Harrison’s Online Resource Targeting Medical Professionals

NEW YORK
McGraw-Hill Medical Publishing, a unit of McGraw-Hill Professional, has unveiled the new Harrison’s Online version 3.0, providing clinicians, students and information managers the immediate and important answers they need in their daily work. Building on the preeminent industry standard with the content of the new 16th edition of Harrison’s Principles of Internal Medicine, Harrison’s Online version 3.0 <www.harrisonsonline.com/> adds several new features and functions that enhance the online experience for medical professionals and students in the lab, clinic and library.

“The latest Harrison’s Online enhancements embrace McGraw-Hill’s commitment to providing faster, easier access to even more information from the world’s most widely used and respected medical resource,” said Keith Fox, president of McGraw-Hill Professional.

Specifically, Harrison’s Online is said to meet the demands of medical professionals who are short on time and require fast searches. As a result, doctors, students and interns on the move have instant access to the content.

Launched originally in 1998, Harrison’s Online was the first dynamic online book to include daily updates. Since then it has grown to provide more than just the full contents of Harrison’s Principles of Internal Medicine, including self-assessment tools, an emergency medicine photo gallery and an up-to-date drug database. The online database serves more than 2,000 customers in hospitals, pharmaceutical companies and academic institutions around the world.
