Dr. Jeffrey O.G. Ogbar

Ogbar JeffJeffrey O. G. Ogbar is a professor of history and vice provost for diversity at the University of Connecticut. Ogbar has served as associate dean for the Humanities in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and director of the Institute for African-American Studies. He has authored several books, including his most recent, an edited volume,  The Harlem Renaissance Revisited: Politics, Arts and Letters, which was published in 2010. Ogbar’s articles appear in the Journal of Religious Thought, Journal of Black Studies, Souls, CENTRO Journal and Radical Society, among other academic journals.
