Professional Appointments

Dr. Mildred García has been named president of California State University-Domínguez Hills. She was most recently president of Berkeley College. García earned a bachelor’s from Bernard M. Baruch College, a master’s from New York University and a master’s and doctorate from Teachers College, Columbia University.

 


Gayle Colston Barge has been appointed assistant vice chancellor for university advancement and chief marketing and communications officer for Winston-Salem State University. She holds a bachelor’s from Minot State University and a master’s from Seton Hall University.

 


Traci Green has been named head coach of the women’s tennis program at Harvard University (Mass.). She had previously been head coach at Temple University. Green earned a bachelor’s from the University of Florida, where she was a member of the 1998 NCAA championship women’s tennis team.

 


Maryland State Sen. Patrick J. Hogan, D-Montgomery County, has been named associate vice chancellor for governmental relations for the University System of Maryland. He has served in the Maryland Senate for 13 years. Hogan earned a bachelor’s from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
