Maranda Smith, a senior anthropology major, earned All-America honors in all-around, floor exercise and vault for the University of Florida women’s gymnastics team in 2009. Smith also made the Southeastern Conference Academic Honor Roll last year. The Placerville, Calif., native has volunteered for the March of Dimes by visiting the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Fla. She has a 3.41 cumulative GPA.
