UM Raises $5 Billion, Breaks Record for Public University

A University of Michigan campaign has raised $5 billion for the school, making it the largest amount ever raised by a public university through a campaign, according to an article by the Detroit Free Press.

University president Dr. Mark Schlissel announced Thursday that the money was raised through the Victors for Michigan campaign. According to the article, $1.1 billion will go toward supporting students through fellowship, scholarships and other programs.
