Lisa Freeman LISA C. FREEMAN has been named president of Northern Illinois University, making her the first female leader in the school’s history. She previously served as interim president of the university. Freeman received a bachelor’s, master’s and doctor of veterinary medicine from Cornell University and Ph.D. in pharmacology from TheOhio State University.
