Joyce Jacobsen JOYCE P. JACOBSEN has been appointed the 29th president of Hobart and William Smith Colleges. Currently, she serves as provost and senior vice president for academic affairs at Wesleyan University. Jacobsen received a bachelor’s degree in economics from Harvard University, a master’s degree in economics from The London School of Economics and Political Science and a Ph.D. in economics from Stanford University.
