Ester Obonyo ESTER OBONYO has been appointed direc-tor of the Global Building Network, a joint initiative between Pennsylvania State Uni-versity and the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe. She also serves as associate professor in the College of Engineering at Penn State. Obonyo earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nairobi, a master’s degree from the Uni-versity of Nottingham and a Ph.D. from Loughborough University in England.
