AARON BIRD BEAR has been appointed the first director of tribal relations at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (UW-M). He currently serves as UW-M’s assistant dean for student diversity programs at the School of Education. He holds a bachelor’s degree in physical oceanography from the University of Washington in Seattle as well as a master’s degree in educational leadership and policy analysis from UW-M.
