Valerie Fields VALERIE FIELDS has been named interim vice president of student affairs at the University of Louisiana-Monroe. In the past, she has served as director of student development and assistant dean for student life and leadership at the university. Fields holds a bachelor’s in early childhood and elementary education from Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana; a master’s degree in education from the University of Louisiana-Monroe; and an educational doctorate from Louisiana Tech.
