Most recently assistant director of intercultural and inclusion student services at Coastal Carolina University, Ellis holds a bachelor’s from Coastal Carolina University, a master’s in mental health counseling from Wright State University and a doctorate in marriage and family therapy from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
