YARIMAR BONILLA

Yarimar BonillaYARIMAR BONILLA has been appointed interim director of El Centro de Estudios Puertorriqueños at Hunter/City University of New York. Professor of Africana & Puerto Rican/Latino studies in the university’s Anthropology Department, Bonilla will be the first woman to head El Centro in its 48-year-history. She holds a bachelor’s from the University of Puerto Rico, a master’s from the University of New Mexico, and a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago.
