About Prince George’s Community CollegePrince George’s Community College was founded in the fall of 1958 as the first integrated school in Prince George’s County. Today, the college serves approximately 35,000 a year and offers more than 50 programs of study. Academic programs are classified in two categories: Transfer programs, which parallel the first two years of a bachelor’s degree and are designed to transfer to four-year colleges and universities; and career programs, which provide the technical skills necessary for immediate employment and career advancement.
