Professional Appointments

Dr. Alicia J. Jackson was appointed dean of the College of Business and Information Science at Tuskegee University in Alabama. She had been serving as interim dean. Jackson received a bachelor’s from Knox College, an MBA from the University of Michigan and a doctorate from the University of Texas at Austin.

Tanisha Jenkins has been named director of multicultural affairs at Western Carolina University.  Previously, she was a graduate assistant in the Gantt Intercultural Center at Clemson University. Jenkins earned a bachelor’s from Presbyterian College in South Carolina and a master’s from Clemson. 

Dr. Erica Meredith has been named the new dean of the School of Information Systems, Business and Public Safety at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College in Richmond, Va. She earned a bachelor’s from St. Paul’s College, a master’s from Central Michigan University and a doctorate from the University of Sarasota-Argosy.
Stephanie Parks was appointed director of corporate relations for Syracuse University’s Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations, part of the division of institutional advancement. Before joining Syracuse, she served as marketing manager with L.&J.G. Stickley Inc. Parks earned a bachelor’s from Syracuse.
Reggie Smith III has been named to the board of directors of the U.S. Distance Learning Association. He is manager of Advanced Distributed Learning and Training at Booz Allen Hamilton Inc. in Alexandria, Va. Smith received a bachelor’s from Lincoln University of Pennsylvania and a master’s from the University of Maryland University College.
Eric B. Weekes has been appointed vice president-chief financial officer at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Fla. Previously he was treasurer of OGE Energy Corp. in Oklahoma City. Weekes earned a bachelor’s degree from New York Institute of Technology and an MBA from New York University.
