Tiffin President Charles Resigns

After six months in office, Tiffin president Dr. Curtis B. Charles resigned, effective Friday. The university cited a “difference in views on strategic vision” as the rationale behind Charles’ departure.

Charles previously served as the senior associate vice chancellor for institutional transformation at Fayetteville State University. He has held administrative and teaching positions at the University of Miami, Barry University, Howard University and Morgan State University, in addition to working in the corporate sector.

Tiffin University Board Chair Claire Johansen said that the board had no further comments beyond the university’s statement.
