Duquesne’s Grote to transfer to Wright State

FAIRBORN Ohio

Scott Grote, who averaged 9.9 points and 4.1 rebounds with Duquesne last season, will transfer to Wright State, the university announced Thursday.

Grote, a 6-foot-6 forward, will sit out the upcoming season and have three years of eligibility remaining.

Grote appeared in all 29 games for Duquesne as a freshman and, in his best game, scored 23 points against Youngstown State.

He is the son of Bob Grote and nephew of Mike Grote, who both starred at Wright State in basketball.
