Dr. Jan E. Duncan Appointed Vice President for Academic Affairs at Texas College

Dr. Jan E. Duncan has been named vice president for academic affairs at Texas College.

Working at the both the K-12 and higher education level, her career responsibilities have ranged from developing online instruction on Blackboard, assisting students with the teacher certification licensure process and teaching undergraduate educational technology courses.

Duncan has also earned funding for grants from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, U.S. Department of Health and Human Service, National Institute of Health and the Department of Health and Human Services, according to Texas College.

She holds a bachelor’s degree, two master’s degrees and a doctorate from Jackson State University.

“Texas College looks forward to her experiences and expertise in helping to expand programs and majors as well as work towards sustaining institutional and program accreditation,” the school said in an announcement
